Job Summary:
The Emergency & Medical Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, management, and execution of emergency and medical services at the airport. This role involves ensuring seamless operations to achieve organizational objectives, managing medical facilities, implementing emergency response plans, conducting risk assessments, and leading response efforts during emergencies.
Job Responsibility:
- Develop and manage the execution of organizational unit’s plans for seamless operations
- Manage medical facilities within the airport, ensuring they are well-equipped and staffed
- Implement emergency and medical response plans and protocols in accordance with policies and regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and establish standard operating procedures for various emergency scenarios
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards through audits and evaluations
- Maintain readiness to respond swiftly to medical emergencies within the airport
- Lead and coordinate response efforts during emergencies, working with relevant stakeholders
- Ensure adequate staffing and resources for medical emergencies during peak periods
- Oversee ambulance services, equipment, personnel, dispatch protocols, and coordination with local facilities
- Organize and conduct training programs and drills for emergency preparedness
- Conduct investigations post-emergency, analyze data, and produce incident reports with recommendations
- Stay updated on medical technology and emergency response advancements
- Collaborate with airlines, partners, and regulatory agencies for seamless medical services
- Perform other job-related responsibilities as directed by the Line Manager
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Management, Emergency Management)
- Certification in Emergency Management or related field is preferred
- Solid experience in managing emergency and medical services, preferably in an airport or healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of emergency response protocols, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations
- Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and produce comprehensive reports
- Up-to-date knowledge of medical technology and emergency response trends
- Collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders
- Flexibility to handle varied responsibilities and tasks as needed
