Financial Compliance Specialist

Summary:
The Financial Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the financial practices at jedco align with local, national, and international financial regulations. They will also develop and maintain internal control frameworks and financial policies specific to jedco while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure financial compliance.

Job Responsibility:
- Stay updated on financial regulations and standards specific to the aviation industry, such as those issued by aviation regulatory bodies like the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and local aviation authorities.
- Ensure compliance of airport charges and fees levied on airlines, passengers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure accuracy, transparency, and consistency of charge calculations and invoicing processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate financial audits for jedco.
- Develop and maintain internal control frameworks and financial policies specific to jedco.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial compliance activities.
- Collaborate with finance teams, jedco management, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to address any compliance issues.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal financial policies and procedures.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with internal financial policies, identifying and addressing any violations.
- Carry out other job-related responsibilities as directed by the Line Manager.

Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Knowledge of financial regulations specific to the aviation industry.
- Experience in financial compliance or auditing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks and financial policies.
- Certification in financial compliance or related field is a plus.
