Job Summary:
The Fire & Rescue Services Operations Performance Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the execution of FRS Departmental plans to ensure seamless operations and the achievement of objectives. This role involves overseeing fire safety strategies, training plans, operational performance monitoring, business partnerships, resource management, compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement efforts in fire and rescue operations.
Job Responsibility:
- Contribute to the development and manage the execution of FRS Departmental plans
- Develop and supervise the KAIA Fire Safety Strategy
- Support the Fire Prevention team
- Oversee the annual FRS department Training plan
- Assist the GM Fire and Rescue Services in monitoring operational performance
- Manage strong business partnerships with key stakeholders
- Oversee incidents involving fire, hazardous materials, and emergencies
- Develop key performance indicators and metrics for assessment
- Streamline and optimize fire and rescue service operations
- Identify and allocate necessary resources for emergency response
- Ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and standards
- Analyse performance data and incident reports for improvement opportunities
- Maintain equipment, tools, vehicles, and facilities for continuous readiness
- Perform other job-related responsibilities as directed
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience in fire and rescue services operations management
- Strong knowledge of fire safety strategies, training plans, and performance monitoring
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong business partnerships
- Knowledge of local, national, and international regulations and standards
- Analytical mindset for performance data analysis and improvement initiatives
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Certification in fire safety or emergency management is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage emergencies effectively
- Willingness to carry out directed responsibilities with dedication and efficiency
