Pavement Senior Manager

Summary:
The Pavement Senior Manager leads the planning and delivery of airside pavement inspection, maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction activities. The role ensures pavement assets remain safe, compliant with aviation requirements, and fit for operational use while supporting the organizational unit’s plans and objectives.

Job Responsibility:
- Contribute to the development of the organizational unit’s plans and manage their execution to support seamless operations and the achievement of objectives.
- Oversee regular inspections and surveillance of airside pavements to identify wear, distress, and potential hazards, and arrange timely preventive action.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, including crack sealing, surface repairs, and resealing, to extend pavement life and reduce the need for costly replacements.
- Plan and manage pavement rehabilitation projects, coordinating resurfacing, reconstruction, and related activities to maintain or improve pavement quality.
- Ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols through regular assessments and audits.
- Develop and enforce material specifications for pavement construction and repairs, ensuring materials meet relevant aviation standards and quality requirements.
- Evaluate vendors regularly, provide performance feedback, and promote continuous improvement in pavement maintenance and construction services.
- Perform other job-related responsibilities as directed by the Line Manager.

Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in pavement engineering, maintenance, rehabilitation, or construction, preferably in an airport or airside environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing technical teams, contractors, vendors, and complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of pavement inspection, condition assessment, maintenance methods, and rehabilitation planning.
- Familiarity with aviation regulations, pavement standards, construction materials, and airside safety requirements.
- Ability to develop maintenance plans, technical specifications, budgets, schedules, and performance reports.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Relevant professional certifications or postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
