Job Description
- Supervise the installation and integration of Special Airport Systems in collaboration with vendors, contractors, and IT teams
- Supervise the revision of the systems ensuring they are properly configured, integrated with existing infrastructure, and comply with safety and security regulations
- Supervise the regular monitoring and maintenance of Special Airport Systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability
- Supervise routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs or upgrades as necessary
- Supervise research on technological advancements and industry best practices related to specialized airport systems
- Carry out other job related responsibilities as directed by his/ her Line Manager
Job Summary:
Special Airport Systems Managers are responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of specialized systems within airports, such as baggage handling systems, security systems, and passenger processing systems. They ensure that these systems meet regulatory requirements, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to a seamless passenger experience.
Job Responsibility:
- Designing and planning specialized airport systems to meet the unique needs of the airport and its stakeholders.
- Overseeing the installation and implementation of airport systems, including coordination with vendors and contractors.
- Managing the maintenance and troubleshooting of special airport systems to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations related to airport systems.
- Collaborating with other airport departments and stakeholders to integrate specialized systems with overall airport operations.
- Providing training and guidance to airport staff on the proper use and maintenance of specialized systems.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing specialized systems within an airport or a similar complex environment.
- Strong knowledge of airport operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Certification in relevant systems or technology is a plus.
