The Emergency & Medical Services Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all medical and emergency services within the airport premises. They are expected to ensure seamless operations, develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct risk assessments, lead response efforts during emergencies, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance medical services continuously.
Job Responsibility:
- Develop and manage the execution of organizational unit plans to facilitate the achievement of objectives
- Manage medical facilities within the airport, ensuring they are well-equipped and staffed
- Develop and implement emergency and medical response plans and protocols in compliance with policies and regulations
- Conduct risk assessments, establish standard operating procedures for emergency scenarios
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards through audits and evaluations
- Maintain readiness to respond swiftly to medical emergencies within the airport
- Coordinate response efforts during emergencies with relevant stakeholders
- Ensure adequate staffing and resources for potential medical emergencies
- Oversee ambulance services within the airport, including dispatch protocols and coordination with local facilities
- Organize and conduct training programs for emergency preparedness
- Investigate incidents, gather data, and produce incident reports with recommended corrective measures
- Stay updated on medical technology and emergency response techniques
- Collaborate with airlines, partners, and regulatory agencies for seamless services
- Perform other job-related responsibilities as directed by the Line Manager
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree is a plus
- Certification in Emergency Management or related field
- Experience in managing emergency and medical services, preferably in airport environments
- Strong knowledge of emergency response protocols, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions during emergencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- Up-to-date knowledge of medical technology and emergency response advancements
- Flexibility to work beyond standard hours when necessary
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and certifications as needed
