Summary:
The Fixed Assets Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and optimization of all fixed assets owned by jedco, including buildings, infrastructure, equipment, and other critical long-term assets. This role is crucial in ensuring proper asset tracking, accurate financial reporting, and efficient resource utilization.
Job Responsibility:
- Develop and execute plans to ensure seamless operations and goal achievement
- Implement an asset tagging system for tracking fixed assets
- Manage acquisition, disposal, and retirement of assets with documentation and compliance
- Calculate and record depreciation using appropriate methods
- Enforce policies for capitalizing assets and maintain an inventory of all fixed assets
- Collaborate with auditors, budgeting, and finance teams
- Provide training to staff on fixed asset management
- Develop long-term strategic plans for asset maintenance and enhancement
- Fulfill other job-related duties as assigned by the Line Manager
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus
- Proven experience in fixed asset management and accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and methods of depreciation
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Strong communication and training abilities
- Strategic thinking and ability to adapt to regulatory changes and evolving needs
