Job Summary:
The General Manager - Airfield Maintenance at King Abdulaziz International Airport is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and strategic planning of the airfield facilities including runways, taxiways, aprons, and lighting systems. The primary goal is to ensure the continuous availability of critical airfield infrastructure to meet operational needs and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Job Responsibility:
- Ensure aerodrome infrastructure compliance with local certification specifications.
- Maintain serviceability of key airfield infrastructure such as runways and lighting systems.
- Ensure airside assets' compliance, safety, and operational readiness.
- Manage risks in this critical operational area effectively.
- Develop and implement long-term strategies for airfield assets, people, and processes.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and innovations for airfield maintenance and operations.
- Lead performance management of the Airfield Maintenance contract and other external contracts.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for safe and efficient airfield operations.
- Monitor and manage airfield conditions including pavement quality, lighting systems, signage, and markings.
- Oversee the airfield ground lighting system, including planning, maintenance, and repair management.
- Mentor and manage the airfield maintenance team.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Interface with a complex stakeholder environment on multiple fronts.
- Manage and collaborate on the capital delivery program.
المهارات
Candidate Requirements and Skills:
- 10+ years' experience in airfield maintenance/engineering, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
- Previous experience leading airfield maintenance in major international airports.
- Expert understanding of airside maintenance protocols, procedures, policies, and published contingencies including related legislation.
- Strong project management skills, including managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to drive change and build a safety culture across the organization.
- Proven people management and team leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for handling complex problems and solutions.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workload in a dynamic environment.
- Positive and resilient attitude with high personal motivation and energy.
- Primary level degree or higher.
